CANCELLATION OF ENTRY/REFUND POLICY
-
Teams may officially cancel their entry at any stage prior to the event by calling or emailing the race organisers.
-
Cancellation of team entry prior to regular entries closing at midnight 16th Feb will receive 75% of your entry fee.
-
Alternatively you can transfer the full 100% entry fee to a future event.
-
After 16th February 2024- 75% entry fee can be redeemed for a future event credit, but no entry refunds.
-
Teams are permitted to transfer or sell their entry to another team if available. This will be a transaction between the teams however the race organisers will help facilitate putting teams in touch with each other.
POSTPONEMENT/CANCELLATION OF EVENT
-
If the event is impacted due to COVID-19, bushfire threat, natural disasters, or other reasons, the organisers will make every effort to reschedule the event.
-
If postponement is not possible, or the event has already started before the conditions impact on competitor safety, then the event will be cancelled.
-
Given the high number of fixed costs associated with organising the race teams should also be aware that any refund in the event of a cancellation is unlikely, though we will do everything we can to transfer entries to future events.
INSURANCE
The event organisers have a public liability insurance policy to the value of 20 million dollars. This is a compulsory insurance policy for events that are organised on, or cross through, any form of government land/public place. This however is not personal accident insurance for you! It is recommended you have your own personal accident insurance.
